Client: Federal Government of Nigeria
Project: The training program was designed to enhance skill sets and capacitate beneficiaries to be able to occupy plausible positions and bridge the capacity gaps Chancery Consulting identified in the Power Industry. Critically, it was structured to help place the beneficiaries in an advantaged position to explore and exploit job opportunities that would be presented by this paradigm shift in the Power sector. In this regard, it also envisioned that the satellite employment demand in areas other than core work will present employment opportunities that can provide opportunities for them. Finally, it will present them with capacity to compete and fill employment positions arising from within their community as most of the key power installations are located within the Niger Delta area.
Project Description:
- To equip beneficiaries with skills to prepare them for employment and or entrepreneurial endeavours within the power and sub sectors.
- To build specific subject knowledge by providing and imparting key skills that would aid functionality in core subject areas.
- To impart vocational skills that would empower participants to be able to function optimally in all the three areas of the power value chain; and
- In achieving the objectives above, we expect beneficiaries to develop sufficient numeracy and literacy knowledge to be able pass relevant examinations in the specified subject areas.
